The Care Quality Commission (CQC) yesterday announced their fee structure from April 2011 for services regulated under the Health and Social Care Act 2008. This is the first year that CQC have set their own fees. Adult Social Care Services which do not supply accommodation (including homecare agencies) will pay a single fee, once a year, according to the number of locations shown on their certificate of registration, as follows: • 1 location: £1,000 • 2 to 3 locations: £2,000 • 4 to 6 locations: £4,000 • 7 to 12 locations: £8,000 • 13 to 25 locations: £16,000 • 25 or more locations: £32,000 Unlike the previous system, invoices will be issued at “organisation level”, rather than individual locations (“branches”). The new fees will payable on a specific date, to be confirmed with providers.
