The GP commissioning survival guide
NHS Networks and Primary Care Commissioning (PCC) will be sponsoring free events in September and October for GPs
NHS Networks and Primary Care Commissioning (PCC) will be sponsoring free events in September and October for GPs considering their role in the fast-changing commissioning landscape.
The events will feature expert speakers from the Department of Health and PCTs, clinical leaders and PBC groups who already have experience of many of the issues around GP commissioning.
Provisional agenda items include:
* Policy: direction of travel, timescales and key issues
* PCT legacy or inheritance tax?
* Ten mistakes to avoid: what GPs can learn from PCT commissioners
* Critical success factors for GP consortia
* Different organisational models (case studies)
Who should attend? GPs, PBC consortia managers and non-GP clinicians.
Dates for the events are to be confirmed and access to free events will be on a first come, first served basis. (If events are oversubscribed, further dates may be added with delegate places charged at cost.)
The events will be built around the needs of delegates. Please take a few minutes to complete a survey to help us ensure that the events are relevant and useful. Qualifying respondents will get preferential access to the events.
About the organisers
PCC has extensive experience of providing practical support for commissioners of local services. It has also worked with GPs and PCT to support the implementation of national policy.
NHS Networks is the free resource for productive collaboration and networking at scale. NHS Networks is supported by NHS PCC and Primary Care Commissioning CIC.
