Best Practice Case Studies - The Beth Johnson Foundation 27th May 2011 The Beth Johnson Foundation (BJF) is a national organisation that seeks to make a positive impact on the lives of older people, to gain recognition for the valuable role older people play, and to challenge age discrimination through pioneering initiatives that bring together research, policy and best practice. The Foundation’s advocacy work began in 1989 as a service for older people and has specialised, since 1998, in developing a working model of advocacy for people with dementia. It pioneers initiatives that support older people to be active, engaged citizens with voices that are heard.
